JANE E. RUTH is a retired nurse
who worked forty-seven years in the medical
field. She has lived in the Boquete area in Panamà
for ten years with a second home in
the United States. As Secretary / Treasurer
of Cleft of the Rock Ministries, Jane works with
the Ngäbe people, mainly on the comarca.
Jane noticed that the Ngäbe had few books for
children and the older Ngäbe people often expressed the
desire to retain their language. She has published a concept book CHALINA LA CERDITA CUENTA HASTA DIEZ EN NGÄBERE in 2021.
Jane likes to write, paint, and
do crafts and attend her fourteen gardens.
BELLA AND CHANTEY: MAMA WANTS A BLUE MUSHROOM is her first picture book in 2022, which also involves Ngäbe Comarca.
