I am a seventy year old real estate retiree, turned school bus driver. I am a native of a small Texas town and drew upon my experiences and the stories I heard from an older crowd I spent time with in the days of my misspent youth. The time turned out to be the inspiration to write the short novel, Small Town Texas. I also wrote ten short stories to follow the novella based on characters that were introduced or played a major part in the short novel. The stories touch on things like poverty, spousal abuse, joy, loyalty, mental illness and loneliness. I hope you enjoy the novel and be sure to watch for the short stories coming this fall.
