My name is Sydney Tate. I have lived in North Carolina my entire life, but I have been all over the state. I was born outside of Charlotte, moved to the mountains as a child and my first teaching job took me to the Marine Corps Base in Jacksonville, so I was very close to the ocean. I have been a special education teacher for more that 27 years, a job I love and am passionate about. I currently live with my son, 3 cats, and a very large dog.
It doesn’t seem like I get any free time, but when I do, I enjoy working in the yard, hiking, camping, kayaking, easy mountain biking, playing card and board games, and spending time with family and friends. I enjoy watching football and hockey. I love all types of books, but my favorites are Cozy Mystery and fantasy novels. My favorite book series being Lord of the Rings. Some of my other favorite authors are Terry Brooks, C. S. Lewis, Sue Grafton, and Rita Mae Brown.
I enjoy reading Cozy Mystery and one day I had an inspiration, “Write some of your own”. I have very much enjoyed being the author of these books. It is/can be a lot of work, but it is also fun for me. Until I started publishing my own books, I never realized how much more goes into it beyond actually writing.
I also never realized before how important reviews are to your work. We see ‘review this and review that’ all the time. In the past, I left a review sometimes, and well, most times I didn’t. Now, I will be sure to leave reviews whenever I can. I would very much like for you to consider leaving a review for this book, or any of my books that you have read. I do read the reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, and Bookbub. I get lifted up by many and while some don’t necessarily give me a lift, they most of the time have good comments, thoughts, and suggestions.
