Second Chance

We lost the revolution in 1777, and now America is still just a colony. Until my best friend unearths an alien machine that can travel through time. He tasks me with a single goal: save General Washington to win the revolution. Only then can we throw the yoke of England off our backs.

Hah. If only it were that easy.

But he asked the right guy – former military and police, I have enough tricks and strategies up my sleeve to make this happen. And when he hands over modern weapons disguised as eighteenth-century flintlocks, I think this wild plan might work. So many lives can be saved.

Even if I don’t make it back, there’s a chance I can change the course of history for the better. Those are aspirations worth fighting for.
